How do I see the Markdown of a line?
Click into the line or move the cursor onto it with the arrow keys. That line shows its raw Markdown; all other lines stay rendered. A table always shows all of its rows raw while the cursor is in it.
How do I add a diagram?
Write a code block that starts with ```mermaid, followed by the diagram and a closing ```. The diagram is drawn below the block. Use the save button on the diagram to save it as a PNG.
How do I write a formula?
Put LaTeX between two lines that contain only $$, or use a code block with the language math. The rendered formula appears below it.
Does Markdown Magic change my files?
No. Documents are saved exactly as you typed them, as plain .md files. Rendering only affects how the text is displayed.
Where can I learn Markdown?
Choose Help ▸ Markdown Magic Guide. The guide is itself a Markdown document, shown in the editor.
How do I change the theme, font or language?
Open Markdown Magic ▸ Settings (⌘,). There you can choose the appearance, the editor theme, the font and its size, line numbers and the app's language.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Diagrams and formulas render offline. Only images in your documents that point to a web address are loaded from the internet.
